World Without Men(First edition)

A book composed of selected works by German photographer Helmut Newton, taken for magazines such as Vogue between the mid-1960s and the early 1980s. His photographs have a dramatic, lingering quality that is rarely seen in fashion advertising today. One of Newton’s great appeals lies in this dangerous balance — images that are bold and provocative, yet somehow retain a sense of elegance at the very edge. Around this time, I began gradually collecting Helmut Newton’s photobooks.
